Howdy, friends! We're excited to introduce you to the one and only Mary Tso, a Navajo silversmith with a heart of gold. Mary started crafting her timeless jewelry pieces at the young age of 25, and she's been creating masterpieces ever since. But Mary's talents don't stop there - she's also a leader in Kinaalda Ceremonies and Blessing Way, blessing not only her own family but also the next generation of her tribe with her beautiful work. It took Mary 30 years to become a Ceremony leader, where she sings songs and prays over younger members of her tribe as they transition into adulthood. Her pieces are what she calls "old style," a nod to 100's years of traditional Native American silversmithing crafters. But that's not all - Mary's creativity spills over into her spare time as well, where she uses her skills to make delicious cakes with elaborate details for her family and tribe members on special occasions. At Lantern Dancer, we just adore Mary's work and the sweet, motherly spirit she brings with her wherever she goes.
