      Meet Veronica Benally

Some artists just stop you in your tracks, and Veronica Benally was one of those for us.

We discovered her beautiful jewelry during a mother-daughter trip to Santa Fe. After looking at thousands of pieces, we found ourselves right back at her booth. Her colorful inlay, gorgeous stones, and meticulous silverwork were just too good to walk past twice.

Veronica is an award-winning Navajo artist from the Gallup, New Mexico area. She's been learning and perfecting her silversmithing and inlay techniques since 1997, alongside her husband and teacher, Ernest Benally.

Her work brings together beautiful turquoise, seashells, lapis, coral, and other colorful stones using intricate mosaic, cobblestone, and cornrow inlay techniques.

What do we love most? These pieces are just as pretty with jeans and a white shirt as they are dressed up for dinner. Layer them with handmade sterling silver chains, your favorite diamonds, or wear them all on their own.

We're awfully happy to welcome Veronica to the Lantern Dancer family, and we have a feeling you'll love collecting her jewelry as much as we do.

      With love,

      Christine
